La Cividina LaCividina Osaka sofa 430 cm Pierre Paulin
design Pierre Paulin, 1967
430 x 78 x h67 cm (seat height 42 cm)
6/7 people can sit on the 430cm wide sofa.
French designer Pierre Paulin challenged the predominant rationalism in 1967 with the creation of a range of seats with organically winding lines. Developed for the Osaka International Exposition in 1970, the Osaka sofa is being revitalized by LaCividina. It allows for an infinity of seating possibilities by combining the different straight and curved modules.
Osaka's curved shapes are given by the structure during installation and can be adjusted over the years.
Undeformable polyurethane foam. Several layer and densities for adjusted comfort. Flame-retardant. Reinforced steel frame for use in public areas.
Upholstery : Kvadrat Uniform Mélange fabric (see color range).
